I should start by stating that I have a decent home theater setup in my media room. I was looking to set up some nice outdoor speakers, and my main receiver is very far from where the outdoor speakers would be. Rather than deal with the complications of really long runs (or wireless, of which I'm not a fan), I figured I'd set up a dedicated receiver, and this worked perfectly. It has only one set of inputs, so keep that in mind when mapping out what you are looking for. For my purposes, I only needed one.

I have an AirPort Express with AirTunes connected to this receiver using a basic 3.5mm to RCA jack, and this unit powers my Klipsch outdoor speakers very well. It gives me very good sound reproduction, and as far as power goes, it's way more than I need to upset the neighborhood, so I'm satisfied.

If you need balance adjustment, there is a step up from this. I think this little receiver is a great deal for a secondary unit.
